Many people don’t understand how important phone interviews are. It’s time to celebrate! Someone has reviewed all the C.V.s and they liked yours! Then they’ve narrowed it down to a few candidates that might be worth bringing in for a full face to face interview and they’ve decided to do a quick phone check to make sure you are human first.

Why is a phone interview part of the recruitment process?

If a company is recruiting one of two things have happened. Either someone’s left and there’s a whole lot of work that needs to be done. Or, the company has gotten bigger and there’s a whole lot of work that needs to be done. That’s why time is precious. It’s easier to phone five candidates and work out who will get the final three to bring in for a face to face interview. Instead of doing five full face to face interviews.
